Make-up Gift Basket

How awesome would it be to receive a make-up gift basket full of goodies?
I would LOVE it! Especially if it contained products from some of my favourite brands, such as, MAC and Smashbox! ๐Ÿ˜€

A friend of mine asked if I could create a make-up gift basket for his wife to give as a birthday present. I excitedly agreed because I love shopping for make-up, especially if it’s not for myself!

I checked out his wife’s current make-up bag and let’s just say, she was in need of a new…uhhh….EVERYTHING!

Here is what I came up with:

  1. QUO Eye lash curler
  2. Red Earth eye make-up remover
  3. MAC Select Moisturecover concealer
  4. MAC Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 foundation
  5. MAC Blot Powder
  6. QUO Double-ended Brush Set with embelleshed brush case

WAIT!!!! It’s not done yet!!!!
Check out what’s underneath it all…

Smashbox Kit includes:
– Reflection High Shine Lip Gloss
– Lash DNA Mascara (Jet Black)
– Eye Palette (Encore) which includes a black jet-set liner
– Photo Finish Foundation Primer (Travel Size)
– Blush/Soft Lights Duo (Style/Icon)

For those of you who know me, you know I LOVE a great deal!! Everything you see above was purchased on sale or with a discount! I purchased the QUO products on sale at Shopper’s Drugmart and the MAC products were purchased with my PRO discount. The make-up remover and Smashbox set was purchased from, “Lisa’s Cosmetics”. Every year I always look forward to going to the “Lisa Cosmetics” sale! It’s open only on two sets of weekends (at the end of November and beginning of  December) . . . just in time for Christmas shopping! The Smashbox sets were on sale for $27 each which normally sell for triple the price in retail stores!

Oohhhh…and not to forget, the case I put all these goodies in is just a small, silver CD case which was also bought for an affordable price!

How awesome is this gift basket!!!?

It covers everything from the face primer (first step of the make-up application) to the mascara (last step)! I love it and it didn’t even cost close to as much as it is worth!!!

I would be ecstatic if I got a make-up gift basket too! But I think it’s best if it’s from someone who knows about make-up too. I think it’s hard to give a make-up artist make-up & brushes if make-up isn’t really your thing. I mean, what if you get products that aren’t soo good? lol ๐Ÿ˜›
