Don’t be afraid to MASK it!

As I walked into the family room I yelled out “Surrrprrrise!”. I decided to surprise my love with my face covered in a light-blue clay mask! His response, “You are still beautiful!”. Aaah, what shhhhhweetheart! Wait until he sees my skin after I wash it all off! Smooth and soft like a baby’s bottom! Lol 😉

My skin has been acting up lately so I thought I should take extra care of it. I’ve been breaking out more often and it’s probably due to life events (holidays, moving, etc.).

As I was getting ready for bed, I saw a clay mask I haven’t used in a looong time, Freeman Feeling Beautiful Facial Clay Mask. It has avocado, oatmeal and Vitamin E which help reduce clogged pores, removes excess oils & dirt, and makes your skin feel smooth. A bonus? This product smells lovely too!

How often should you wear a clay mask?
It really depends on your skin type. I would suggest using it once a week. But if your skin tends to be on the oily side you may be able to get away with using it twice a week. Clay masks suck out excess oil that can clog your pores.
How do you apply the clay mask?
Typically, the steps are as follows:
1. Cleanse your face.
2. Dry your face.
3. Apply a thin layer of the clay mask all over your face and go down to your neck. Work around your eyes and ensure yoj don’t get too close.
4. Let the clay ask completely dry until your face feels extremely tight and stiff.
5. Rinse off with warm water.
6. Pat your face dry with a towel.
… and VOILA! Beautiful skin!
I know, masks can be scurrry, but don’t be afraid to use them. Your skin will thank you at the end! 🙂 Plus, if your partner is like mine, he might be jealous of the soft skin and want to try the clay mask too! 😛
